KNOW-HOW
MATERIAL
Acetate is a luxurious and noble material, combining robustness and durability.
Derived from natural sources such as cellulose, from cotton fiber or wood pulp, this material is transformed via a sophisticated process using acetic acid. This refined technique produces sheets tinted in an infinite palette of shades, offering exceptional freedom of color and blending. It can even imitate the appearance of natural materials such as tortoiseshell, wood or horn, making each piece a unique and elegant work of art.
CREATION
An inspiration, an idea... a drawing.
Once created by hand, sketched on a single sheet of paper, it is now the fruit of meticulous computer work, and constitutes the essential first step in our project. This digital transformation allows us to fine-tune every detail with extreme precision, ensuring that each creation perfectly reflects our artistic vision and commitment to quality.
Manufacturing
MACHINING
The design is transferred to a CNC milling machine, where the parts are cut from a sheet of acetate. During this stage, the piece can be engraved or perforated. It is then detached from the sheet and bent.
CURVING
Once the blank has been cut and prepared, it is gently heated and then bent using a specially designed and manufactured stud.
This process gives the accessory its definitive shape and character.
Poncage
Next comes a long cycle of sanding and polishing, spread over several days, in barrels filled with boxwood logs.
This tribo-finishing stage is essential to refine the angles and smooth the surfaces of the raw material.
POLISHING
Each acetate piece is then carefully hand-polished with progressively finer abrasive disks and pastes to achieve a mirror-like finish.
Polishing is much more than just a technical step, it's an art that combines precision and patience to bring out the color and natural quality of the acetate.
ASSEMBLY
Then comes the meticulous crimping of hinges and mountings. Each piece is then embellished with our own designs: motifs, engravings, material inlays or sparkling rhinestones.
During this phase, we also apply finishing touches such as collaging flowers or other ornaments, applying the logo via permanent metallic ink, fitting the necessary springs to the clamps, and crimping our metallic logo, the emblem of our brand.
Finish
The final step is a meticulous inspection of each accessory, hand polishing with a cotton flannel disc and a final dusting with a silk brush, before your order is individually packed and dispatched.
These many stages of production constitute a unique know-how that has been handed down in our family for six generations.
At deliska-h, we're committed to carrying on this tradition. Every accessory we create is the fruit of proven artisanal techniques, combined with constant innovation. Our mission is to offer accessories that are always more beautiful, more durable, and perfectly adapted to your needs and tastes.
